We are Ian and Clair Lansley and we live in South Oxfordshire with our two children, Max and Hannah. We started Dickidot, a small design company, in 2000 and work either from the lovely light, airy studio at the bottom of our garden or in-house.
Between us we have over 30 years experience in design, artwork and project management across commercial and educational publishing, advertising and marketing. We have managed numerous projects right from the start of the design process through to printing, bringing them in on time and on budget, working with editors, writers, proofreaders, studios and illustrators, including commissioning artwork. Given our location, just ten minutes from the M40 and twenty minutes from the M4, we're ideally positioned to work in London, Swindon, Wycombe, Reading and the surrounding areas.
Ian began his career at PNG Group and was there for 15 years, rising to the role of Creative Director. Clair has spent most of her career as a freelance designer of children's books, although she spent 4 years in the 1990s at Reed Publishing in New Zealand, beginning as a Junior Designer and ending up as the Art Director. Ian and Clair met in 1998 when Clair was freelancing for two weeks at PNG. They married in 2007.
